Symptoms

You installed Update 4 of Acronis Backup 12.5 (Build 12730)
After update, deleted off-host data processing plans (replication, validation, cleanup) start running on schedule. It is not possible to delete these plans because they are not shown in Management Console.

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

This issue is fixed in Build 12860 and later, please update the product to the latest build.

Use cases

Your company's network has tight security, that incorporates firewalls or deep packet inspection software which interferes only with encrypted traffic. In this case, Acronis Connection Verification Tool will report the connection to be successful, yet the backup will fail. Once an unknown certificate is present in the chain, Acronis Storage rejects the connection.
On MacOS, there is no Acronis Connection Verification Tool yet. OpenSSL can be used as a replacement for it.

Symptoms

You installed Acronis Backup 12.5 Agent on a machine with non-server operating system (Windows 7/8.1/10 etc.) that has a Hyper-V role enabled. A Workstation license is assigned to this Agent.
To check whether Hyper-V role is enabled on the machine, open Windows Services (Start -> Run -> Services.msc) and look for services with names starting with "Hyper-V", e.g. Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management. If such services are present in the list, then Hyper-V role is enabled.

To add a location:

Navigate to the location, select it and click Done.

After a while, you add another SQL instance to your SQL server.

Backup completes with warning, second instance is not backed up:

Symptoms

You have an HP computer in UEFI mode
You try to restore a system backup or perform a different operation with Acronis True Image that requires reboot
After reboot, the system boots directly to Windows. Acronis True Image does not start in boot mode and the recovery/other operation is not performed

Cause

HP computers in UEFI mode use a specific boot order that overrides Acronis Loader.

Solution

As a workaround, change the boot order manually:

You open Acronis Backup web console, go to Settings -> Licenses and click Sync to synchronize subscription licenses from Acronis account,
The following error appears:
Acronis account <xxx> synchronization failed
If you check log of Acronis License Server (C:\ProgramData\Acronis\LicenseServer\Logs on the Management Server machine), you see error message similar to the following one:
sqlite3.IntegrityError: column id is not unique

Introduction

This article describes how to set up Acronis True Image so that backups are saved to two or more external disks, which could be swapped or rotated on regular basis. For example, backup to disk A on even weeks and backup to disk B on odd weeks. The disk that is not used on a given week is usually kept in a different physical location as an extra layer of protection.
