Acronis Backup 12.5: Backup fails with "POR: Element 'Name' cannot be found”

Symptoms

Backup fails with error message:

"POR: Element 'Name' cannot be found"

(note that 'Name' stands for element's name, e.g. "BackupType", "ApplicationName" etc.)
